Jenni and Brian's Enchanting Wedding
Écrit par : Oui, je le voeux... le lundi, 06 janvier 2025
Jenni and Brian got married last July in Sudbury, Ontario. Their wedding was filled with romance and authenticity—a magical moment celebrated with family and friends. We were completely charmed by the photos of their wedding ceremony and by the deep connection that shines through each image.
Jenni kindly agreed to share with us the highlights of this unforgettable day, as well as her experience choosing her wedding dress. Her story is a beautiful source of inspiration for all future spouses.

1. During the wedding planning, what was the most important thing for you?
Jenni: “We spent a lot of time planning our wedding. For me, it wasn’t essential to get married the same year as our engagement; what mattered most was that my fiancé and I made decisions together and enjoyed the process. I kept thinking, ‘I’ll only plan my wedding once, so I might as well fully enjoy it!’ We wanted each step to reflect us, which included thinking about our matrimonial regime to ensure everything was clear for our future as spouses.”
Jenni and Brian wanted their wedding ceremony to reflect their vision and mutual commitment. Like many future spouses, taking the time to plan the celebration of marriage allowed them to enjoy each step and create a ceremony that truly represented them. Their commitment was sealed before a civil registrar in a civil marriage—a memorable moment that will stay with them forever.

2. What made you fall in love with your dress?
“It was literally love at first sight with the Maggie Jade dress. Without even realizing it, I had saved this dress multiple times on my Pinterest board called ‘Dream Dress.’ I knew I wanted a dress that was romantic with a touch of vintage. When I saw that Oui, je le veux Boutique… had this dress in stock, I knew I had to make the trip to Montreal to try it on!
It was the first dress I picked and the first one I tried on. From the moment I put it on, I knew it was the one. No other dress could surpass it; it brought together everything I had dreamed of without even knowing! This dress accompanied me for the celebration of our marriage and made the day even more magical."

3. Do you have any advice for brides-to-be who are starting to look for their dress?
“The thing that worried me the most was not being able to wear a bra with my dress. I almost didn’t try on the Jade dress because the model in the photos didn’t have much of a bust, and the dress has an open back. I thought, ‘I can’t wear that!’ Thankfully, I decided to try it on despite my concerns, and I couldn’t have made a better choice.
My advice for brides-to-be is not to worry about the size or shape of the model in the photos or magazines. It’s essential to remember that everybody is unique, and alterations can transform a dress to perfectly fit your figure. A talented seamstress can adjust the dress to fit you exactly while respecting the standards set by your marriage contract, just like the spouses' obligations in their mutual commitment.”

4. What is your best memory of your wedding day?
“The best moment for both of us was when we saw each other for the first time. For me, it was the anticipation of waiting for him, hidden on the second floor of my parents’ house in my childhood bedroom. My stomach was flipping! It was an emotional moment, and I’ll never forget the expression on Brian’s face when he saw me in my dress for the first time.
Another unforgettable memory was having all our loved ones together for our wedding ceremony. Our families are quite scattered, with some members in the military, which makes reunions difficult. Seeing our friends and family, from Petawawa to Sudbury, gathered for the celebration of our marriage was incredibly touching. It meant so much to know they had traveled to celebrate our love and union—a new stage also marked by commitments respected according to the civil code."

A Unique Wedding and Unforgettable Memories
The happiness and love radiating from Jenni and Brian are palpable in every photo. Their enchanting wedding, both intimate and authentic, reflects their vision of life together and their union. Celebrating the marriage in a setting full of childhood memories and surrounded by loved ones gave a special meaning to their bond.
